Our Breeding Program
At FAFO Farms, we breed Highland cattle for a reason. We’re working toward beautiful, manageable cows with the kind of temperament that lets you hand-feed them in a field. That means we’re selective, intentional, and a little obsessed with results.

Things That Matter Most
What We Breed For
Over 100 Animals, Greenhouses, and Dirt Under Every Fingernail
We focus on:
- Temperament: calm, friendly, non-aggressive
- Color: dun (teddy bear brown) and silver
- Size: under 42" tall
- Health: healthy & happy
We pair our cows based on behavior first, then color. If we see undesirable traits in a parent, they’re removed from the program. Period.

Our Bloodlines
Our Highlands come from all over the U.S., and we work hard to maintain genetic variety. We are breeding for show cow quality but our 4 major check points are always the priority above all else. We’re breeding for beautiful, healthy animals that are easy to work with and good for families.
