Meet the Family
Behind FAFO
Built With Love, Sweat, and More Than a Few Cow Treats
FAFO farm started with one very determined couple, a dream to build something that mattered, which included a 7 year long search to find their forever home and just two Highland cows. Valarie grew up the 12th generation on her childhood farm before it was swallowed up by a housing development. Chris grew up in Pasadena Anne Arundel county with a dream of living in the Davidsonville community. Together they bring it all back to her roots and his dream on their terms with their family and with a whole lot more horns.
This farm saved our sanity. It might just reset yours.
REAL ANIMALS. REAL FUN.
a real farm, authentic atmosphere, & scenery as beautiful as a photo set.
We raise and breed miniature Highland cattle with a focus on strong healthy genes, loving temperament, adorable colors and fluffy coats. However, we aren’t just all about the cows, we grow produce and flowers in our greenhouses and garden areas, and look forward to opening our Farm stand that will offer fresh seasonal options, our farm fresh eggs, FAFO Merch, and local made arts and crafts. Our crew includes mini goats, chickens, pigs, turkeys, ducks, a donkey, a sheep, and an adorable tiny horse who thinks he is a unicorn and runs the place.
Our lineup includes:
- 15 +/- Mini Highland and Highland Cross Cattle
- 30+ chickens, plus ducks and turkeys
- Mini goats, a mini horse, and a mini donkey
- Fresh produce, herbs, flowers, and eggs
We do this for real, and the animals do too.
Why the Name FAFO?
The “official” version? Family, Agriculture, and Fun Outdoors. The truth? When we moved in, things got messy. People asked, “Who the heck are you?” And our answer became clear: FAFO Farms.
It's got Layers
It’s stuck ever since, and if you get it, you’re probably our kind of people.
If you know, you know. If you don’t, come meet a cow and find out.
Built for Community
We’re here for the curious, the burnt-out, the hands-on learners, the cow lovers, and the families who want more than screens and schedules. This is a space to slow down, get muddy, and remember what connection feels like.
